Flipped Science Fair

The annual Flipped Science Fair flips the traditional middle school science fair upside down. Yale graduate students and postdocs present their work to groups of middle school judges. As a judge, students get to learn about cutting edge research from real scientists in their community. They also have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with presenters about their experiences. However, the Flipped Science Fair is not just about poster presentations. There are also fun, engaging hands-on science demonstrations for students. You can isolate DNA from strawberries, spin on chairs to learn about centripetal force, or make robotic hands move. The Flipped Science Fair is a highlight of the year for our presenters and we hope to see you there as judges at our next event!
