Plants are vital for providing us with food, shelter, clothing, medicines, and plants shape our environment. Diverse research areas in the plant sciences are represented in MCDB labs, including functional genomics, reproductive development, epigenetics, pathogenesis and immunity, circadian rhythms, genome engineering and evolution. The goals of these research efforts are to explore the often unique solutions that plants have evolved to survive in diverse environments, as well as to develop solutions to address critical agricultural, industrial, energy and medical needs in response to a changing climate.
Postdoctoral Opportunities
Prospective postdocs should contact individual faculty members about open positions. Visit the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs for more information.
Meet our Faculty
Many of our Faculty have vibrant research labs where life changing research happens. Both graduate and undergraduate students have the opportunity to work with their professors in meaningful award winning research. You’ll find the labs within the faculty members individual profiles.
