The last steel I-Beam for YSB is painted white and signed by the construction crew, students and many members of the Department of MCDB for posterity. The topping off ceremonial beam is usually adorned with a small evergreen tree and an American flag. Both are to communicate the construction team’s progress and pride in this complex building process.
