Valerie Horsley receives Emory University’s Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences Distinguished Alumnus Award.

The Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences (GDBBS), part of the Laney Graduate School at Emory University, is honored to present Dr. Valerie Horsley the GDBBS Distinguished Alumnus Award, in recognition of her outstanding professional achievement, and for her service to Emory and the community.  Nominees for this Award must be in a position of leadership, either in academia, business, or government, or be self-employed.  In addition, they must exhibit demonstrated excellence as a leader, scholar, mentor, innovator, or entrepreneur, or in some creative capacity relevant to their GDBBS training. Dr. Horsley was selected for this Award by a committee comprised of the Directors of the eight PhD Programs comprising the GDBBS along with leaders of the Graduate School.  Emory is proud to have alumni like Dr. Horsley who have accomplished so much over their professional career after leaving a GDBBS Program.
