I’m excited to join MCDB as the Teaching Lab Supervisor. I’ve worked at Yale for over 19 years. First as a Research Assistant in a lab in EEB. I then transitioned to a Research Assistant III for an internal service provider, the DNA Analysis Facility on Science Hill. This facility physically sits inside a functional research group and I split my time  as the lab manager for the YIBS Center for Genetic Analysis of Biodiversity offering training and teaching in molecular biology techniques. I also contributed to many population genetics research projects studying organisms from invasive jellyfish to giant Galapagos tortoises.

I fully intend to immerse myself  in the labs  and reacquaint myself with techniques from across all disciplines.  I look forward to meeting many of my new colleagues over the coming months as we resume full operations on campus.
