Shirlene manages the day-to-day administrative operations of the Molecular Cell Biology, Genetics and Developmental (MCGD) Track of the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Graduate Research Education Program sponsored by the Departments of Cell Biology, Genetics and Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. This involves oversight of graduate student recruitment, admissions and training of on average 35 Ph.D. students in their first-year in the MCGD Track. The MCGD Track is made up of two medical school departments (Cell Biology and Genetics) and one FAS department (MCDB); Shirlene , therefore, splits her time between the Medical School (HOPE 210) and Science Hill (YSB 235) campuses.
