Samantha Gamez

Samantha “Sam” is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism Studies and a double-minor in Communications and New Media Art. In addition to updating and maintaining the MCDB website and social media platforms, Sam is responsible for departmental communications, monitoring the Communications email inbox, and  proactively reaching out to MCDB Faculty to highlight what’s new and exciting in their world of research.

Sam is also responsible for many of the administrative tasks that accompany the life cycle of ladder and non-ladder faculty: searches, hiring, promotions, leaves of absence to name a few.  

In her free time, Sam is an active participant in local community theater not only as an actor but as the social media coordinator for the Square Foot Theatre in Wallingford.
