Mandatory Daily Health Check & Contact Tracing Info

If you are coming in to work in YSB, you must complete a daily health check using a web form or a downloadable mobile application.  This is for your health and safety as well as the health and safety of our entire community.

Because some of you have raised concerns about the mobile app, we are considering the possibility of MCDB being a beta-test site for a Yale-specific version of Hunala, a symptom and contact tracing app that works similarly to the Waze app that some of you may be familiar with.  Hunala is being developed by Nicholas Christakis and his Human Nature Lab team at Yale. You can read more about Hunala here.

Below is a link to a Qualtrics survey where I would like to get your feedback on one question–whether or not you are in principle interested in being a beta-tester. As members of the scientific community, I’m sure you all realize the importance of collecting data in order to make more informed decisions on how to move forward with an app that may end up being used university-wide.

Take survey here.

Please continue to wear masks, socially distance, and complete your daily health checks; your community appreciates it!

All best,
