Chair’s Corner - May 2017

May brings Commencement, when we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduate and undergraduate students. We have 90 MCDB seniors graduating, 74 earning a BS and 13 earning a BA, and 3 graduating with a joint BS/MS degree. Nine graduate students are being awarded the Ph.D. from our department. The research projects our students have carried out are far-reaching and varied; from genome engineering, to developing potential new disease therapies, to exploring the molecular underpinnings of complex behaviors. Truly, the energy, effort, and focus you have brought to your studies has enriched us all. Congratulations to all of our graduates, on all your hard work and your many achievements!
